Testimonial and Reviews
Christmas in Tuscany! Our family came from London, Stuttgart and Los Angeles to meet for Christmas.
What a beautiful place our daughters had picked, Fattoria-Fibbiano is everything you want it to be and more….beautiful views in every direction, olive trees, vineyards and a host that treated us like friends. A walk along the vineyards is a must as the view is well worth it. An evening tasting the wines that were crafted right here on the premises was a very special event.
Giuseppe gave us destinations that we should visit in the area and even provided us with hand drawn maps.
Fattoria-Fibbiano is centrally located so that we easily made day trips to Volterra, Sienna, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano and Terriicciola, and still had time to celebrate Christmas. Our granddaughters fell in love with Pedro the estate dog, and he was an added bonus for them, they hated to say goodbye and leave him behind.
Giuseppe recommended restaurants in the area and even some local dishes, taking great care to explain each dish in detail to us. He was kind enough to make reservations for us at La Vallata, where we enjoyed a very special seven course Christmas lunch with wines and champage.
We left wishing we had more time to spend in this lovely place.

*********************************************************************************************************************************************************** Giuseppe, family & Pedro! We have been home for a month now after our week stay at Fattoria Fibbiano September 27-October 4 2008. The weather was perfect. Our apartment was spacious and clean. Your boys and staff were courteous and helpful. (A special thank you to your fire starter son who helped us with the Bar-B-Que.) I loved coming back to Fattoria Fibbiano each evening, after a long day of sight seeing, to an eager welcome from Pedro. He was such an ambassador for your farm and he brought smiles to all of our faces with his antics. Our only regret is that we stayed with you during your busy grape picking and crush season. We would have liked to get to know your family better and eat in your lovely dining room. The next time we visit it will be in the summer so we can experience your restaurant and interact with your family more. I think doing this would have added to our experience in Italy in a more intimate way.
I have recommended you to friends and family and will continue to do so. If anyone is looking for a Tuscan adventure, in a beautifully restored home, Fattoria Fibbiano is a great choice. I hope to see you again. Certainly if you visit the USA on the west coast you must let us know. Thank you for being a part of our Italian vacation.

This is an email we received on 26th August 08 from Zoe and Zack from the USA: Hi Arianna & Massimo,Zach and I wanted to send you an extremely belated thank you for all of your help during our stay in Tuscany. Although we travelled throughout Northern Italy during our trip, we agree that Tuscany and Fattoria Fibbiano were the best part! We enjoyed meeting and getting to know both of you and we adored Carla and had great fun partaking in the cooking classes. You are both so knowledgeable about the area and directed us to many small towns and unique places, enabling us to feel kind of like locals (although our Italian was limited!) Of course it doesn’t hurt that we got engaged in Tuscany as well! Besides our memories of the amazing trip, we will always be able to tell the story of how we got engaged in a Tuscan vineyard. Everyone thinks Zach was very romantic! We have a few pictures that we I will be sending shortly–if I can figure out Zach’s computer. Please let us know that you received them and thank you, thank you, THANK YOU again for helping to make our trip memorable beyond belief. Although we do not have any immediate plans, it was definitely not our last trip to Italia and we cannot wait to return!’ Zach & Zoe (USA)

Dear Giuseppe
It has been two weeks now since our stay at Fattoria Fibbiano and we are missing the glorious sunshine and the views from the apartment! Here in England we have only rain, rain and more rain!!
We found the apartment cool and spacious, with wonderful views across the countryside - the sunrise across the hills was spectacular. With so many great restaurants and pizzerias nearby, we didn’t use the kitchen very much though!!
We enjoyed our lazy mornings by the pool, and having lunch on the shaded terrace. There was so much to see nearby - we managed to visit Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena & Volterra (which wasn’t bad for a week). My favourite was San Gimignano – where the ice cream was unforgettable!!
Thank you for making us feel so welcome, and especially for the special tour of your wine cellar on our last night!
Regards
Jennie & family
PS Say hello to Pedro the puppy from us!

Dear Giuseppe,
I write in English because my Italian is not good enough to put on paper.
All the group who had the pleasure to spend
the week-end 14-17 September together with you and your family, had so much to talk about on the journey back to Norway. The warmth and hospitality that greeted us when we arrived, was there all the time. There was always a smile and we realized that we were part of the family.
Of course the food and wine were excellent and maybe we drank a little too much wine, but we hope we did not disturb you too much, when we stayed up half the night, talking and laughing in the warm autumn air. We hope that the rain stopped after we left, that you were able to harvest the grapes, and that the vintage will be a good one.
We close with the hope that all is fine in Terricciola, that your family is in good health and happy. Please give our best wishes to the wonderful cook Clara, and tell her we will soon be making Tirramissù!!
God bless, Regards

Dear Guiseppe, your family and staff,
we are now back in Denmark after the most wonderfull stay at your place which we can imagine in the hole wide world. Jette and I, Marcell, wishes to thank you for the most pleasent holliday we have ever had. The way you and your family always were present without interrupting, but helpfull when any kind of help was needed was absolutely fantastic.
We felt like if we were family on Toscanas most cosy and ekstremely welldroven wineyard.
EVERY stressed inhabitant in any country should have the opportunity to have a stay at your place, taste the wine, taste the Toscanian food on your special arranged evenings, and feel how it is to be “re-born”.
Be sure - we’ll be back and hopefully with our adult children and there children, when the time is up.
We will emphazise that this holliday for us middleaged and married persons, is one of the absolutely best, and we have been travveling all over the world.
A speciallity is your personality which we must appreciate in a kind of sideremark(-:.
And we want to underline that your agriculture wineyard, with all modern facillities, will give people in all group of ages, a treamentes holliday, not to forget.
Many kind regards,
and thank you to all we met on the spot

Ralf, Karin, König, Anna, Stefan - September 2006:
Dear Giuseppe,
now we are back home since nearly 2 1/2 weeks. Last monday Ralf and me
started working and on wednesday school began again.
But our holidays at your Fattoria Fibbiano were so relaxing, that I think
this feeling and many rememberences will last through the autumn and winter.
Unfortunately we couldn`t stay a few days longer, because Anna had that
painful ear-inflamation, you know. Thats life…
After I had done all the washing, I missed a swim-suit from me and
swim-shorts from Stefan. I think we forgot them on your drying racks. Its a
dark shorts with 3 white stripes(trademark: ADIDAS)and a pink twopiece
swim-suit, with colourful stripes (trademark: Esprit). If it is possible ,
please send them back (we will send you the postage). If not we have one
more reason to visit you again next year!
We hope you are all well and we wish you a succesful and good harvest!!
Grazie per l`ospitalita !
Ciao

Gordon Callan - September 2006:
My family and I stayed at the Fattoria Fibbiano for a week in July, 2006 and we all had a fabulous time. The Agriturism farm is located in a rural area of Tuscany, surrounded by rolling hills filled with olive trees and grape vines. The proprietor, Giuseppe Cantoni is a gracious and accomodating host. He always made himself available to us and was very willing to recommend sites around the area. The farm is a fully-functional farm where theCantoni family produces wonderful wines and olive oil.
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children and we found the Primula apartment met our needs well. The apartment contained a fully-equiped kitchen, bath, large bedroom and a pull-out couch in the main room for the kids. The nearby village of La Rosa has a large Co-op supermarket and other businesses.
The kids really enjoyed the large, clean swimming pool! The pool area has plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to accommodate all the guests. The boys also loved exploring the very old farm and looking at the farm animals.
Fattoria Fibbiano is in an excellent location for exploring Tuscany. It is less then 1 hour from the Pisa,Volterra and San Gimignano. Volterra is a ‘hidden gem’ of Tuscany, and home to the Etruscans. This ancient Roman city has many worthwhile Roman ruins, a wonderful 14th century town with castles and streets.
I would strongly recommend Fattoria Fibbiano to anyone looking for a queit, peaceful base from which to explore Tuscany.

Yannick Saunier - August 2006:
Hi Corinna
I have spent one week at Fattoria Fibbiano, nearby Terriciola, from July 22nd to 29th.
I had booked Apartment Salvia for 4 people with your help
As expected by you, please read below a short summary on my stay.
Positive aspects
- very nice building located on top of a hill
- very large, nice and clean swimming pool
- apartment looked very new and recently renovated.
- full domain is very clean
- very nice view of the country side
- limited number of apartments : therefore not too many people at the same place at the same time
- many services are offered on site : access to internet, BBQ, possibility to borrow electric devices (oven, toaster …)
- The owner Giuseppe and his family are very nice; they speak a very good english (that would not be the case in France for this type of place !!!)
They are working hard but always find time to share with guests : you feel as you we were invited, rather than being just a client.
Giuseppe takes his guests to visit his cave and to taste his wines : very nice
- the farm is nearby small cities where you can find good services : very nice supermarket, pharmacy, doctor (useful for my young daughter who got sick there)
Less positive aspects
- When I arrived, I had to pay for the rest of the reservation. But Giuseppe does not accept Credit Card.
Like many french people, I do not carry cash at all, only Visa or AMEX - and it was difficult to withdraw a large amount of cash (680 euros) in the ATM around Terricciola.
I think you should warn people at reservation that payment at Fibbiano should be done in Cash only.
- The apartment did not have air conditionning and only one fan. One fan for a large apartment was not enough and the temperature was really high inside apartment, even at night. A second fan would not hurt for this apartment
As you can see : a lot more positive aspects than less positive !
I have spent a wonderful holiday in Italy
Thank you !
Best regards
